Man, I was going to be a smartass but with all this actual helpful advice, I'll share my own:

1. My grandparents were married for 60 years and were the happiest couple I ever saw. When I asked why, they said "We both give 51% and are happy about it." Think about - it very simple yet profound.

2. (This is from me) Accept her for who she is and don't try to change her. So much anxiety in a marriage is from one person trying to change the other. It won't happen. Realize it now and get over it and you'll be much happier.
