A's / Rays U 7'-- S mith has been grossly unimpressive last 3 starts, and has given up @ least 4 runs in 3 of last 5 starts,that with going 5 or less innings, but Rays have a bit of trouble vs. lefties, and Smith is 14 of 17 under overall,with all 3 of his last 3 going under @ 8' posted total. Shields still in the zone @ home,so I will go w/ the under here.

'Stros-- Pirates have taken 6 of last 8 vs. clubs this year.... but Pirates have Snell on the mound today - he of the 1-6. 7.71 ERA road record. Pirates have not swept a road series all year, and I seriously doubt that changes today.

Added- Twins/Yanks U 9- Yanks hitting the ball a ton on their streak, Twins haven't, really since drubbing Rangers , but Mussina enjoying a sollid season, and Perkins has 2.29 ERA last 3, even tho getting hit good vs. Yanks in earlier appearance, so I like Perkins to go deep in this one to save on worn out pen and w/ Yanks going under 24 of 32 in day games, i figure on about 5-2 , 5-3 final at best.
