I think they win outright. If you are using the crawford theory it would have to be tonight. Crawford isn't supposed to be at game 7 if needed. It appears that crawford is the nba's fixer when it comes to the lakers. I am a Laker fan so I hope so.
Pirate lovers shouldn't be so confident in a win today. Although I do like the Pirates starter Paul Maholm, Mike Hampton of the Astros shut down the line up last time he seen the Pirates. The Pirates line up is hitting only .190 against this guy. He did get knocked around in his last two starts so he may need a map and a flashlight to find some swag. On the other hand, Paul Maholm has been solid for the Pirates going 2-0 at home with a 1.98 ERA. The Chicago White Sox did knock him around in his last start through. Houston's line up is only hitting .198 against this guy. If Maholm can throw first pitch strikes and keep runners out of scoring position he will do fine. But when he falls behind in the count and has runners on base he gets rattled. Houston is hitting .279 on the road and .301 in the last 7 days. Houston did score 4 runs yesterday and 10 total in the series. The odds are in Pittsburgh's favor.
I for one am glad to see may end. What a nightmare of a month on the bases. Totally unpredictable. I wish i would have just split the games that came down to the pen or recieved a few runs for a great outing by a pitcher. It is a long season and you have to play the percentages, hopefully June is the opposite of the breaks. I love playing dogs and you would think that I would have had a great month but I only had a few days where the dogs came through.
Just look at today Maholm has a great outing and loses. Garza, Greinke, and Millwood all lose at home as big favorites.
