Comp Selection: Take Toronto Bluejays -103 over the Boston Redsox (Friday @ 7pm est). For today's comp selection to hopefully make it 3 in a row, take the Bluejays over the Redsox. Wakefield gave up 1 run in 8 innings in his last start vs. the Jays which was a contest that he was on a bounce-back against Anaheim for when he had given up 7 runs. The Jays face Wake again today and they are likely to get to him early as usually when a pitcher has great success against a team his first go around, he struggles in his next effort on the road against them. Janssen has finally returned to the Jays lineup and he was one of the stars that the team is looking to finally show his potential. He was pitcihng great in the majors a couple years ago but injuries sidelined him. He finally made his much awaited start back in the league and pitched extremely well against the Braves but the Jays still lost. Janssen still went 6 innings and gave up 8 hits and 3 runs. He looked a bit shaky at times, but that is expected in his first start back. Toronto looks to finally bounce-back at home after getting roughed up by Boston, Atlanta and Baltimore on the road and I expect them to do better in the beginning of their home stand today.

4 Unit Play. Take the Over 190 (190.5 is fine too) between the Orlando Magic @ Cleveland Cavaliers (Thursday @ 8:30pm est). If you have been keeping track of this series, one thing is apparent, the Magic have been by far the better team. This team has a team concept and element that the Cavs have not mastered yet despite the fact the Cavs were the best regular season team in basketball this year. When these two teams hook up in Cleveland, the pace has been riveting and consequently both games in Cleveland have gone over. Oddly enough, the pace in Orlando has been much slower than the pace in Cleveland. It is obviously do or die for Cleveland and I am certain they will come together as a team and do very well today. But, time and time again the Cavs have been up by 15+ points only to see the Magic begin chipping away and coming back with their multiple weapons including Hedo, Dwight, Lewis and Rafer. Thus, I like the Cavs to put up a solid crop of points as they did in game 1 (106 points). In that same token, I expect the Magic to keep pace and remain as an active dog today. Thus, rather than a side, I like the over here as I believe the Magic will push this total over. The Over is 4-0-1 for the Cavs following a SU loss, the over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams and the Over is 4-1 for the Magic when they are Underdogs by this margin.
4 Unit Play. Take Under 9 between the LA Dodgers @ Chicago Cubs (Thursday @ 8:05pm est).
Wolf helped his team win in his last start, but he admittedly struggled a bit giving up 10 hits and 4 runs in a little over 6 innings. Prior to that start, he had put together 5 straight quality starts. In fact, while Wolf gave up 4 runs in his last start, in his previous four starts, he had given up a total of just 5 runs. I expect a bounce-back start from him today on the road at Chicago and I expect a strong performance from Illinois native Randy Wells who will be pitching in front of his family once again. Wells has impressed the Cubs with a 1.50 era thus far in three starts - although he is seeking his first win. All 3 starts went under the posted total today. So, in short, you have Wolf on a bounce-back and a young man in Wells who continues to pitch well in the majors as his honeymoon and first go around with the teams in the NL is working out well for him. I expect this game to dip under today as the Under is 7-2 for the Cubs Overall and the Under is 5-2 for the Dodgers coming off a win.
