2007-2008 NBA Road System Season Thread

Fellow capper, Big Fella, brought mention of a profitable NBA Road system that has proved a winner for a very long time. Here is his description of the system from another thread...

Quote:

1. You need the NBA schedule.

2. Throw out the top 5 road teams.

3. Mark all the road trips of 4 games or more for the rest of the NBA. The longer the trip the better in that it will result in a W.

4. You bet against that road team the 1st night

If you win thats it for that trip you are done no more plays on that team for that trip

If you lose you double up on the next game

Lose again double again

(something like the mart whatever system but less risk and better results)

How many times will a NBA team win out on a road trip not many.

5.The wager amount to start is what your goal is to make on each road trip.
lets say $100 lose than play $200 Lose than $400 lose $800 . The profit must be the same the entire year. Also hope you dont need the 3rd or 4th game LOL.

Check the # threw the years $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I have also added my own twist to the system which is to play the Under in the same series. Teams tend to slow the pace on long road trips. This has hit very well this season.

Here as how the system has fared this season to date:

ATS: 13-1 (-5.5 Units)

The only loss was Nov. 3rd-9th when Orlando covered 4 straight road games for a -18.5 unit hit. However, BigFella mentioned that you want to wait about 3 weeks to determine who the top Road ATS teams are, so the system would actually be starting about this time of the year. On a side note, Orlando is on the 5th game of a 5-game road trip tonight at Golden State. The Magic have covered the first four, so they may beat the system again tonight, but since they are a Top-5 Road team ATS, we wouldn't be playing this series.

O/U: 15-0 (+15 Units)

Playing the Under in the same series has proved profitable thus far in the season. Both plays combined are 28-1 (+9.5 Units) a month into the season. Pretty nice ROI.

I have also tracked Back-to-Back road games. When fading the B2B Road team this season, you would be 11-8 (+2.2 Units) as well as 11-8 (+2.2 Units) playing the Under. I'll continue to track b2b fades since that is such a small sample.

Important: If you are going to follow the system you have to stick to your unit values. If one gets a little cocky and ups their unit value mid-season, a series loss could wipe out the bankroll. It is a chase system so you have to have the sack to follow it completely. There will be a some large wagers to hit on the back end of a trip...

Remember, if you are chasing a loss, you must bet to win back what you have lost INCLUDING juice, as well as to win one unit.

If you play to win 100 on the first game of the trip, and get beat, you must play to win 210 (+ juice) on your second wager, and so on...

I have mapped out the remaining schedule and have marked all series that fit the criteria, as well as highlighted the Back-to-Back road fades for the rest of the season. I will try my best to keep this thread as up-to-date as possible. Hopefully we can all cash in on this system....

-Merrick

Re: 2007-2008 NBA Road System Season Thread

There are two plays for Tuesday, December 4th...

The Suns actually opened a 5-game trip last night against New York. Phoenix covered and busted out the over, which set up a play for Tuesday on both Indiana +6 and Under 219.5

As mentioned, the series started yesterday but I don't see hte problem jumping in on the 2nd game of a 5-game trip.

There is another series that begins tomorrow when the Bucks visit the Clippers. The plays would be Clips -2 and Under 191.5

Plays for Dec. 4th:

Pacers +6
Suns/Pacers UN 219.5
Clippers -2
Bucks/Clips UN 191.5

Sweet.. I've been trying to follow another system... Question... Lets say Pacers cover but bust the over....Would you play Pho/Tor on the 5th, just the UNDER?

Just the Under. The Phoenix road trip ATS would be chalked up as a win and done with. You would continue with the Under until you hit. I know it seems scary to bet Unders in PHO games but I took a look at this years O/U by team. The only team that has gone consistently over is Dallas which were somwhere around 11-6 o/u

The Magic should not be in there they are a top 5 ATS team.

No they shouldn't, that team is a road covering machine . However, the system looks great thus far and it does get scary in the 3rd/4th game but I think if you stick with it and throughout the season - a great idea btw to exit out the top 5 road teams - you can get great value betting against teams such as milwaukee, minnesota, seattle the bulls etc...- Enjoying the system merrick and keeping up with it. good work - not sure about the o/u system, as I think it is more of a matchup of the teams, but this is great work and I'll keep an eye on it and we can all help tweak it. thanks merrick and BF.

When you do take out the Magic who do not belong in it the results are insane. MERRY CHRISTMAS FELLAS.

Re: 2007-2008 NBA Road System Season Thread

I agree Big Fella. This last road trip they finished up last night was not a play due to their ATS record... What I was saying earlier was if one had played the system from the beginning of the year, the system records would be as I stated. (The Magic covered a whole series and it was early in the season so we couldn't exclude them from the system). However, if we had waited three weeks or a month into the season, we would be beginning right about now. I can't believe they are 12-1 ATS on the road this year!! That's Patriots status

Pacers and the Under
Clipps and the Under

The pacers also fall into your 1st/3rd quarter system. Are you gunna play them on the 1st qtr too?

Re: 2007-2008 NBA Road System Season Thread

The 1st and 3rd Q system is FBH's system, but yeah I have been tailing it. I will likely play the Pacers in the 1st Q as well.

Re: 2007-2008 NBA Road System Season Thread

right on...

my only other question for ya is about the back to back games.

I saw your spreadsheet didn't include back to back games unless they are both on the road.

Do you not play back to back's that are one at home and one on the road?

For example the jazz were at home last night, and on the road tonight.

Would you fade them due to the back to back?

The list I sent you is only back-to-back road games, so the Jazz wouldn't fit there.

Re: 2007-2008 NBA Road System Season Thread

couple of things you missed chris,

on the list of back to back road games you sent me for dec 5th you don't have going against the lakers and the pistons

Both of whom are on the road tonight, and again tomorrow night

unless they don't fit and i'm missing something?

Do the b2b plays only work if within a 4+ game road trip?

Re: 2007-2008 NBA Road System Season Thread

That is a good point. That list only includes the b2b within a 4+ game trip. I'm not sure how the b2b road games outside of a long trip would fare. Maybe that's something to keep an eye on as well...

Re: 2007-2008 NBA Road System Season Thread

Yeah they showed up and ran with the Suns in the second half. The only problem is since they ran, they smashed out the over handily. Oh well, chalk up a win on the ATS series so we don't need to fade the Suns tomorrow night. However, the Under loss set up a double play on the Suns/Raptors game tomorrow night. It's a back to back night for the Suns, hopefully they slow it down a bit so we can hit that and get out... Clippers and Under coming up in a half hour or so...
