I'll start it off... Maybe it's the obvious choice but I'll choose Miami.
This team won one game last season and this season they will obviously do better. But how much better? I think a LOT better! I think this team could push close to the .500 mark in 2008, winning as many as seven games. With a new coach and system and Parcells barking orders from the top, this team will have more discipline and focus. Jake Long should make an immediate impact and this could be Ted Ginn's breakout year.
I vote New Orleans. A good team that just couldn't put it together last year. I think they do much better and play closer to their potential.

There are quite a few teams that I think are going to do better, one of the wildcards that have huge potential is the Raiders. This team has improved its running-game drastically and if Russell lives up to the half of his potential this year, they have the defense that has always been stout, in particular at home, to go with a strong running game. This team needed a running game to add to its defense which they now have, plus, Kiffin is a solid coach and will have them well disciplined. Should be fun watching the Raiders in the blackhole this year, remember, this team beat the Steelers at home with little to no offense as they did it on their pure defense alone, now, tack on a decent running game which opens up at least the screen and the slants, it can open up around a 150 yard pass game and they can play small ball in ways and win ballgames by margins of 17-14 and 21-14. Similar to the Jaguars of a few years' past.

Glenn Dorsey (LSU) was arguably the best DT in the draft.
Branden Albert (Virginia) was possibly the best interior O-lineman in this Draft. Brandon Flowers (Virginia Tech) is a shutdown corner. He did have a slow 40 time other wise people were saying he could have went alot higher.
Jamal Charles (Texas) was a solid pick and will help with some running back dept.
And WR Kevin Robinson was the best return man in the country last year with Utah State.
Now I know the kids still have to prove themselves and KC QB is a huge question mark, but the question was who will be the most improved and 4-12 last year means 5 wins is considered improved!
great work. At the end of the day though this team is still horrible when it comes to receivers and their qb of course, trust me, being a bama fan, Croyle is overrated in my book. If he didn't have that great defense and o-line at bama, he would have been even worse. You're right though, the Chiefs defense and special teams look sound, they just need some receivers and a qb now.

I'm thinking Arizona. It is time for all of those high draft picks to gel and there division is pretty weak.... If lienart can start using his big head to make lifes decisions and focus on winning football i see them making the playoffs this year.
New Orleans will improve. Their offense talent alone is worth a something and this is by the best team last year who stunk and played below their potential.
If your talking in terms of just wins then I guess the aforementioned "cellar dwellers" would suffice. If you want overall improvement then look no further than upstate NY. With Trent Edwards at the helm this team will finally reach its potential barring and major injuries. Evans is an absolute stud, Lynch is poised for a huge year and they have thee best LT in the entire league. The rest of the line is massive with the exception of Preston and on top of that they have finally added a true fullback. With Reed and Parish underneath and Hardy(best wide out in the draft) opposite Evans it will be a pick your poison. Blue collar defensive line led by Mr. Schobel and the monstrous pocket-pushing Marcus Stroud. Poz back in the middle, Crowell playing the Will wich he is more suited for and Mitchell on the strong side; solid! The best young safety tandom in the league and crazy depth and the CB position. Best special teams in the league as well and that's not debatable. Moorman, Lindell, Parish and McGee not to mention Leodis. There you have it, the Buffalo Bills easily the most improved team this year!

Wow, gotta disagree with you on this one Jedi. I think they won several games last year that they should have lost. They had one of the worst defenses in the league last season and question marks remain at QB. I don't see them improving at all.
I think the Niners stepped up in the off season. I mean its not going to be very hard to improve on what they had last season. In the off season they set out and got Mike Martz to run the offense. He brought the future hall of famer Isaac Bruce wirh him. They also grabbed a solid number two recieve in Ashley Lelie. Also, Manny Lawson will finally be healthy and help a much improved defense. It's not looking that bad in frisco.
I'm going with a tie between the Jets and Raiders... both spent lots of money this season...and have the opportunity to come above .500.
In Oakland, Russell could just heave the ball 70 yards downfield every play to take draw the defense away from the line, then hand it off to McFadden for easy yards.
Even though, I'm a die-hard Jet fan, I still question the QB position. We've got 3 new starters on the O line (as well as some nice Defensive pick-ups) but without a strong QB presence, the running game will be be non-exist. Its up to Pennington to stretch that D out to give Jones some running room.
If both these teams can allow their running games to lead them, there is no reason when 1 or maybe both should be Wild Card contenders.
I change my vote. The J-E-T-S jets jets jets are the most improved team in the NFL. If I were Coach Mangini and had to chose between Chad pennington and Kellen Clemens- I'd pick Brett Favre too!
