  • January 23, 2018 - Golden State Warriors vs. New York Knicks

The Golden State Warriors are a huge favorite at home against the New York Knicks. The Warriors are awfully good, so even possible guys sitting should not change this pick. The Warriors should be able to run the Knicks out of the gym in this game. The Warriors are a team that steps on the throat late in games, and that's the plan here.

Look for the Warriors to win and win big on Tuesday night. A huge spread goes towards the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night.

Golden State Warriors -13.5 over New York Knicks

    • January 24, 2018 - Philadelphia 76ers vs. Chicago Bulls

Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and the Process known as the Philadelphia 76ers are looking to come back after a loss on Monday to the Memphis Grizzlies. The 76ers are still the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference, but most NBA experts realize they are a team to deal with in the Eastern Conference postseason.

The Chicago Bulls are playing competitive basketball. The Bulls have been winning several games, and competing in other games. The Bulls are coming off a tough loss on Monday to the New Orleans Pelicans.

This should be an interesting game. What are the Bulls competing with? Zach Lavine has been a nice boost, along with the two big power forwards for Chicago.

But, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid are going to run over the Bulls defense in this game. The 76ers score 110 and win this game.

Philadelphia 76ers -5 over Chicago Bulls

      • January 25, 2018 - Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Washington Wizards

This game involves two teams in the NBA that I find very interesting to follow. Two teams that have some talented basketball players. This is also a game that features a pair of teams, that frankly have underachieved at this point in the season. The Oklahoma City Thunder are 27-20 and fifth in the Western Conference. With the additions of Paul George and Carmelo Anthony, the Thunder are in the same spot they were a season ago in the standings.

A season ago, the Thunder lost to the Rockets in the first round. Oklahoma City should be a top three team in the Western Conference. The Washington Wizards are 26-21 on the season, and also 5th in the Eastern Conference. The Wizards should be a team with Bradley Beal and John Wall that can compete with the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference.

Maybe they will – but to this point, 5 games over .500 is not good enough for this team. This game is in Oklahoma City, and they have won 5 straight games. Maybe this is the start of a great run for Oklahoma City. We are going to buy into that, and take the Thunder to not only win this game, but win this game easily over the Wizards. Oklahoma City Thunder -5 over the Washington Wizards.

        • January 26, 2018 - Milwaukee Bucks vs. Brooklyn Nets

The Milwaukee Bucks should have Giannis Antetokounmpo back for this game. The Greek Freak has sat out the last two game for the Bucks. During that time, the Bucks fired their head coach Jason Kidd. To say there is some turmoil with the Milwaukee Bucks would be an understatement.

Having the Greek Freak back is a HUGE deal. He is scoring nearly 29 points per game, and is ripping down 10+ rebounds per game. The Greek Freak will be an All Star Game starter.

Milwaukee is tied with the Philadelphia 76ers for the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks are 2 games ahead of the Pistons to keep in the playoff standings. Milwaukee is coming off a win over the Suns.

The Brookyln Nets – are bad. The Nets are coming off a tough loss in Oklahoma City, but are 13th in the Eastern Conference. The Nets are only better than the Hawks and the Magic in the standings. The Nets are 18-30.

The spread is not enough. Milwaukee wins this game, and covers the spread.

Milwaukee Bucks -6 over Brooklyn Nets

          • January 27, 2018 - Duke Blue Devils vs. Virginia Cavaliers

Two of the best teams in College Basketball will get together at Coach K court in Durham. The Duke Blue Devils are at home against the Virginia Cavaliers. The Cavaliers are ranked #2 in the nation with their 19-1 record on the season, while Duke is #4 and come in with an 18-2 record.

The Cavaliers have won 11 straight games since their road loss at West Virginia earlier in the season. The Cavaliers are leading the always tough ACC. Virginia in January has won 6 out of 7 games by double figures with the best team defense in all of College Basketball.

The Duke Blue Devils have o five straight on the season. The Blue Devils know they need to win this game to fall three games behind the Cavaliers in the ACC standings. Duke is coming off a win over Wake Forest. The two Duke losses came at Boston College and North Carolina State.

Duke in their three out of their last four home games have won in blowout fashion. Duke is one of the top scoring teams in all of College Basketball.

Usually we hear defense wins championships, but regular season games at the end of January is going to see the better offensive team come away with the win.

Duke Blue Devils -4 over Virginia Cavaliers

            • January 28, 2018- Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Philadelphia 76ers

To the NBA we go. The red hot Oklahoma City Thunder are at home taking on the Philadelphia 76ers. Philadelphia has been pretty tough as well, but one team is rolling a little better than the other right now.

It took some time – but Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony are figuring it out The Thunder are moving up the Western Conference standings, with their 29-20 record. The Thunder are in 5th.

Westbrook against Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons is must watch TV. But, in the end, the Thunder get the job done here.

              Oklahoma City Thunder -3

              • January 29, 2018 - Kansas Jayhawks at Kansas State Wildcats

Full disclaimer: Rodney is making this pick and Rodney is a Kansas Basketball fan. Bet at your own risk.

The SunFlower Showdown in the State of Kansas. One of the two biggest games of the season for both teams. And that is saying alot - with both teams playing good basketball and atop the Big 12 standings. This is a game if the Kansas Jayhawks are NOT gpowaoing to win their 14th straight Big 12 title, Kansas State needs to win.

The Kansas Jayhawks are 17-4 and 6-2 in Big 12 action. They lead a group of four teams in the Big 12 standings. One of those teams is the Kansas State Wildcats. The Wildcats are 16-5 and 5-3 in conference play.

The Jayhawks lost Tuesday at Oklahoma, and beat Texas A+M on Saturday. Kansas State has won four straight games, including a home win over Georgia on Saturday.

Kansas has Oklahoma State, TCU, Baylor and Iowa State in their next three games following this. In the Big 12 - you never know what could happen - but a win for the Jayhawks would be massive.

Kansas can shoot the basketball about as well as anyone. These games have been super close, including the 1 point win by the Jayhawks back on January 13th. Look for this to be the same, but like always - the Jayhawks find a way on the road.

Pick: Kansas Jayhawks -2 over Kansas State Wildcats

                • January 30, 2018 - Illinois Fighting Illini vs. Rutgers Scarlet Knights

Hey Knup Sports fans – After another Play of the Day winner on Monday with the Kansas Jayhawks, back to another winner on Tuesday. Today’s winner comes from the Big Ten.

The Illinois Fighting Illini are on our “do not bet list”.. But, here we are – back to the Fighting Illini grind. The Illini beat Indiana and now are looking for back to back Big Ten wins. This is a lot for a program that did not win a Big Ten game from March 1, 2017 – almost February of 2018.

But, the Illini are better than Rutgers. The spread is not very high, and the Orange and Bluers are at home.

Take the Fighting Illini -5 over Rutgers on Tuesday

                  • January 31, 2018 - Portland Trail Blazers vs. Chicago Bulls

The Portland Trail Blazers ARE playing the second of back to back games, but the Chicago Bulls are a mess. The Bulls have dropped four straight games, and were smacked by 14 at home by the Bucks.

Portland is 7th in the Western Conference and looking to move their way up. The Trail Blazers with their guard play are going to get the job done with this game.

Portland Trail Blazers -7 over Chicago Bulls

                    • February 1, 2018 - Toronto Raptors at Washington Wizards

Hard to bet on a road team in the NBA sometimes – but this seems like a pretty good place to be. We were on the Washington Wizards when they took on the Oklahoma City Thunder and beat them, but the Raptors seem to be on a different level right now.

These two Eastern Conference teams could meet up in the postseason. The Raptors are currently 34-15 on the season and have won 15 out of 26 on the road. The Raptors are seeking their third straight win.

The Washington Wizards are 28-22 on the season and have won 16 out of 25 games at home. The Wizards are without their top scorer John Wall, which really hurts their offense.

In what would be a great battle between Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan against John Wall and Bradley Beal – will not be without Wall in action. This is a Toronto game, despite being on the road.

Toronto Raptors -3 over Washington Wizards

                      • February 2, 2018 - Oklahoma City Thunder vs. New Orleans Pelicans

It’s hard to bet a team on back to back nights, but the Thunder are a good pick for Friday night. The Pelicans are still trying to play without DeMarcus Cousins, and now with the Pelicans trade, they are still trying to figure out how to play.

Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony do enough to get the job done.

Oklahoma City Thunder -5 over New Orleans Pelicans

                        • February 3, 2018 - Golden State Warriors at Denver Nuggets

Back to back is never easy – but if any team is going to do it and do it well – it’s the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors spent Saturday night playing in Sacramento, and now they get the thin air of Denver.

The Nuggets are a nice shooting team from the wing, but Golden State is going to score, and score more. The Warriors with Curry, Durant, Thompson and Green are too much.

The Warriors are just a couple games ahead of the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference – but they know when they turn it on, they are awfully tough to beat.

Golden State Warriors -5 over Denver Nuggets

                          • February 4, 2018 - New England Patriots vs Philadelphia Eagles

                            P - A - T - S PATS! PATS! PATS!

New England Patriots -4.5 over Philadelphia Eagles

                            • February 5, 2018 - Oklahoma Sooners vs. West Virginia Mountaineers

Two Top 25 teams, and two of the top teams in the Big 12 get together. The first time these two teams met up, the Mountaineerswon the game at home.

West Virginia is coming off a blowout win over Kansas State. The Mountaineers are now 17-6 on the season and 6-3 in Big 12 play. Just like Oklahoma – the Mountaineers are trailing Kansas and Texas Tech at the top of the Big 12.

The Oklahoma Sooners lost to Texas in Austin on Saturday. The Sooners are now 16-6 on the season. Trae Young is scoring 29.8 points per game to lead the nation.

Look for too much of Young in this game. The Sooners will take care of the ball against the West Virginia defense.

Oklahoma Sooners -2 over West Virginia Mountaineers

                              • February 6, 2018 - Golden State Warriors vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

Both teams are tired, as they close in on the All Star Break. The Oklahoma City Thunder have dropped four straight games. Golden State is coming off a loss to the Nuggets and have dropped 2 out of their last 3.

The Thunder are 30-24 on the season, and 5th in the Western Conference. The Thunder are trailing the Minnesota Timberwolves for the fourth seed in the West. Oklahoma City fell to the Lakers on Sunday.

The Golden State Warriors still have the best record in the NBA at 41-12. The Warriors are looking for their man Kevin Durant to torch his former teammates.

No matter who you think or want to win this game – the fun part is Kevin Durant against Russell Westbrook. That’ll be a fun matchup, as it is nearly everytime. These two dudes do not like each other.

While both teams are talented, the Warriors have been the bread and butter, going on their fourth season now.

Golden State Warriors -9 over Oklahoma City Thunder
