  • February 7, 2018 - Minnesota Timberwolves at Cleveland Cavaliers

Is the tank on for the defending Eastern Conference Champions or what? Holy moly – how bad are the Cleveland Cavaliers right now?

The Cavaliers led the Orlando Magic. Yeah – THAT Orlando Magic team by 16 points at halftime – and lost……. BY 18 points.

LeBron James pretty much quit in the second half, and the Cavaliers were just awful. The Cavaliers are now 30-22 on the season.

They will take on the Minnesota Timberwolves, who come into the game with a 34-22 record. The Timberwolves are 4th in the Western Conference, and looking to make a run at the third seeded Spurs.

Minnesota has the talent to beat the Cavaliers no matter when it is – but this is a game that will go to the Timberwolves. Look for Andrew Wiggins to have a big game and the Timberwolves beat the Cavaliers.

    • February 8, 2018 - Arizona State Sun Devils vs. USC Trojans

It's been a rough start to the month for the Play of the Day. But - trust the process - and let's get some winners.

Short and sweet - Arizona State with Bobby Hurley takes down the Trojans at home

      • February 9, 2018 - Cleveland Cavaliers at Atlanta Hawks

I dont know who is going to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers. George Hill, Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance are all coming over, but reports are that they will not be available for tonight’s game.

But, one guy that will be available – LeBron James. LeBron James should have enough around him to take down the Atlanta Hawks tonight.

Look for a monster game from King James. We need a win in the Play of the Day, folks!

        • February 10, 2018 - North Carolina Tar Heels at North Carolina State Wolf Pack

The North Carolina State Wolf Pack won the first matchup between these two rivals back on January 27th in Chapel Hill. That was a thrilling win for the Wolf Pack, and since then they have split their two games since then.

The North Carolina Tar Heels are 18-7 on the season and 5th in the ACC. The Tar Heels are coming off the massive win over the Duke Blue Devils.

Don’t love teams on the road for the Play of the Day – but the Tar Heels are playing much better basketball right now. Roy Williams and his defending champions are going to get back on track,

          • February 11, 2018 - Duke Blue Devils at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Two in a row. Don’t call it a streak. Let’s win our third in a row, and stay in the Atlantic Coast Conference to do so.

The Duke Blue Devils have lost back to back games. Duke is 19-5 on the season, and dropped to third in the conference. They get a road game, but against a team that has struggled all season. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are 11-13 on the season.

Look for a mad Duke basketball team. Remember the loss earlier this season and then the next game Duke beat a team by 60. While this is not Evansville the Blue Devils are playing – it’s kind of close.

Georgia Tech is some kind of bad. If the Blue Devils can’t win this game by double digits, they are in some kind of big trouble.

            Duke wins by double digits.

            • February 12, 2018 - West Virginia Mountaineers -5.5 vs. TCU Horned Frogs

The Big 12 – back to center stage on Monday night. The West Virginia Mountaineers will host the TCU Horned Frogs.

The TCU Horned Frogs are 17-8 on the season, and are coming off a blowout win at home over the Texas Longhorns. The Horned Frogs are 5-7 in league play, which is tied with Oklahoma State, Baylor and Texas for sixth in the league.

The West Virginia Mountaineers are coming off a loss. The Mountaineers fell Saturday to the Oklahoma State Cowboys at home. The Mountaineers are now 18-7 on the season, and 7-5 in conference play. The Mountaineers are third place in the Big 12 behind Texas Tech and Kansas.

The Mountaineers have been disappointing in league play, in a season that has been open for the taking. West Virginia though, when they start picking it up are a talented group. The last time West Virginia and TCU met up – the Horned Frogs won at home.

Look for some revenge in this game. The Mountaineers win at home, and it ends near double digits.

              • February 13, 2018 - Houston Rockets at Minnesota Timberwolves

In the NBA – the Houston Rockets are really, really good. The Rockets are seeking their 9th straight win, as they are on the road at Minnesota, The Timberwolves are 35-24 on the season, and are coming off a win over the Sacramento Kings.

The Timberwolves are a good team, but not quite ready to battle with the best. The Timberwolves have seen some bad losses on inconsistent play. Minnesota struggles with the high powered offense of Houston and falls.

Houston Rockets, led by James Harden win this game on the road.

                • February 14, 2018 - Toronto Raptors at Chicago Bulls

That’s 5 straight wins for the Knup Sports Play of the Day! Time for 6!

The Toronto Raptors are red hot right now. The Raptors are 39-16 on the season, and have won five straight games. The Raptors scored 123 in a blowout win Sunday in Charlotte, and added it up with 115 in the win at home over the Miami Heat last night. The second of back to back games can be scary, but the Raptors bench is one of the best in all of the NBA.

They will take on the Chicago Bulls – who are 20-36 on the season. The Bulls are coming off a home win over Orlando. Despite how good Zach Lavine has been for the Bulls – they are not ready to take down the Raptors in this game.

Toronto scores early and scores often, and wins this game by double digits.

Toronto Raptors -6 over Chicago Bulls

                  • February 15, 2018 - Milwaukee Bucks vs. Denver Nuggets

Giannis Antetokounmpo and his 27,5 points per game, and 10.4 rebounds per game look like they could be in line for one of the Top 3 in the MVP voting. Now, he will play his final game of the first half of the season at home against the Denver Nuggets. The Milwaukee Bucks have been playing good basketball since they let Jason Kidd go.

The Denver Nuggets have actually been playing pretty good basketball, but they are not a good road team. The Nuggets have won back to back games, and have lost 6 out of their last 7 on the road. In fact, since the New Year – the Nuggets have played just 7 road games, and lost 6 of them. The lone win on the road was at Phoenix.

The Nuggets are in trouble here. The Greek Freak is too tough for them to defend. Nikola Jokic is having a monster season, but not enough to keep up with Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Bucks -3 over Denver Nuggets

                    • February 16, 2018 - St. Bonaventure vs. Rhode Island

The Bonnies are playing good basketball, and the Rams are due for a loss. How many times do we see a team go unbeaten in conference play? The Rams have a chance, but on the road, against a hot team – do not like their chances.

                      • February 17, 2018 - Kansas Jayhawks vs. West Virginia Mountaineers

What a monster game at Phog Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence Kansas. The West Virginia Mountaineers are on the road at the Kansas Jayhawks. The 20th ranked Mountaineers are trying to stay alive at the top of the Big 12, and coming off a win over TCU. The Mountaineers are 19-7 on the season. For Kansas - they are 13th in the country, and have 20 wins. Kansas is a game back of Texas Tech in an effort to win their 14th straight Big 12 title.

If the Jayhawks are going to win their 14th in a row, they have to protect their home court. While they have not been great at home, it's still one of the toughest places in America to play. West Virginia blew a big lead in the first meeting between these two teams, there is no doubt Bob Huggins has reminded his team of that.

Despite that - Kansas gets hot and makes enough shots to beat the Mountaineers at home.

Kansas Jayhawks -3.5 over West Virginia Mountaineers

                        • February 18, 2018 - Duke Blue Devils at Clemson Tigers

The Duke Blue Devils are starting to heat up.

They are seeking their third straight win, and 22nd on the season.

Clemson is coming off a loss, so expect them to be ready to go at home in this game.

Give us the Blue Devils over the Tigers in this game, with more talent.

                          • February 19, 2018 - Oklahoma Sooners at Kansas Jayhawks

Well, it worked on Saturday. Don’t ask us how – but Play of the Day winner with the Jayhawks.

Now, Kansas is back at home and taking on a struggling Oklahoma Sooners team.

Trae Young has been struggling from the field, but the Jayhawks are still going to have to make sure they bottle him up.

Look for Kansas to do that, and not look ahead to the big game at Texas Tech on Saturday.

Jayhawks down Sooners… But — this spread is way too high. We are seeing nearly 9 points in this game. Kansas has not been blowing teams out. The Sooners cover this spread!

Oklahoma Sooners +8.5 over Kansas Jayhawks

                            • February 20, 2018 - St. Louis Billikens at Dayton Flyers

The Tuesday Play of the Day comes out of the Atlantic Ten Conference – where the St. Louis Billikens are on the road at the Dayton Flyers.

The Billikens of St. Louis struggled early in the season losing 4 straight games, and starting the season 5-5. The Billikens have rallied back and are looking to finish in the upper half of the A-10 Conference. St. Louis is 15-12 on the season and 8-6 in conference play.

The Billikens struggle to score, but their defense is one of the best in the nation. St. Louis will take on a Flyers team out of Dayton that are having one of their worst seasons in a long time. The Flyers are coming off a win over Fordham, but have dropped 4 out of their last 6 games.

The last time these two teams got together – the Billikens won by 10. Look for St. Louis to go on the road and win again.

St. Louis Billikens +5 over Dayton Flyers

                              • February 21, 2018 - Duke Blue Devils vs. Louisville Cardinals

Another Knup Sports Play of the Day winner last night with the Billikens covering the spread on the road….

Sure – the Louisville Cardinals of 2018 have nothing to do with what happened in 2013 with the vacated National Title – but there is something to be said about the negativity of the program right now.

Now, they get to travel to Cameron Indoor where the Duke Blue Devils are starting to heat up. Since the loss to North Carolina- the Blue Devils have been playing some solid basketball.

Duke is 22-5 on the season, while Louisville is 18-9.

Duke’s talent is crazy, and this is the type of game that will snow ball from start to finish for Louisville.

Duke wins this game by double digits.

                                Duke -11 over Louisville
