I guess the blocking of online gambling is official as of tonight. I got home and logged on to my Sportsbook account like I do every night but tonight when I logged on it says error: you are trying to access an illegal online gaming site. Access is Denied...What is going on? so I try uninstalling my program and re-downloading the software again but still the same error message. I call up a couple of my buddies here in Kentucky and tell them to try logging on and they get the same results. Is this happening to anyone else outside of the state or is it just in Kentucky? I bet Governor Steve Beshear is setting back in his office like Hitler, "Soon I will control the world".
Also if I can't get access to my account, do I lose my bankroll? Please respond if anybody else is having an issue. Thanks
Still good to go here in IL so far does anyone know if this is going to trickle now state to state or are we ok? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
are the books cooperating or are they being blocked by their originating IP? Try logging in by going to Anonymouse.org first and see if you can login if you route through a proxy.

I hate the thought of this spreading to other states. Do you folks think these bans have a good shot at shutting us all down anytime soon? I don't know the rules on taxation of gambling gains, but why does the government care if people are spending the money like this? Allow people to gamble and tax their gains. I'd rather not have to go out and find a local.
I don't know exactly whats going on in KY I have family there..as far as the govenor goes. his puplic financial records should show that he's somewhat a mager stock holder in Churchhill Downs..CHDN...AND in Ohio they shotdown another casino deal...................p
Hey everyone, I just wanted to give you an update on the status here in Kentucky. I sent an e-mail to Sportsbook asking what happened and this is the response:Thank you for contacting us.
Unfortunately, a decision to disallow poker play from the state of Kentucky has been taken by our poker network provider in light of the recent legal proceedings in that state. You may continue to use the sportsbook and casino at this time.
The poker software will block play from IP addresses in Kentucky, so if you are temporarily logging-in from that location even though you are not ordinarily resident there, you will not be able to access the application.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this change.
We are always here to help you. Please feel free to reply to this email if you have any additional questions in relation to this or any other matter.
Kind regards,
Conner Davis --

So for now it is just Poker but how long until it is all gambling online. I feel like I am in China or something. This is crazy. I think I will change my account info and say I live in Indiana and see what happens. Drop me a line if you here anything else or have any ideas. Later Guys...
Yeah, click on boycottkentucky link at top of homepage here. It's ridiculous and something needs to be done!
For now, get around it by using a proxy as ATV suggested above. Changing your state in your profile, and doing that, should work fine. They will have no way of knowing where you are.
I noticed that some on line casinos offer their services in only some states. I've been on a few that don't let minnesotans play any longer. I just found a couple that do. it's hopefully not every poker server thats not alllowing people from kentucky not to play. there has to be servers out there that will allow people from kentucky to play.
I live in CA and have accounts with BetUS, Diamond Sports, LineMaker and Sportsbook.com, as of now I am still allowed to play at all these books but I have heard talk of the government trying to stop all US residence from playing poker and making sports wagers online. The only thing they will allow if the law passes will be betting on horses, this is because the horse racing industry has been making large contributions to the right people all along.
The reason I believe they are trying to put a stop to poker and sports wagering on the net is because of all the pressure the moral majority is placing on certain members of congress and we all know how money runs this government not the people.
