Sporting Lisbon / FC Basel OVER 2.5 (+105)
Parathinaikos / Anorthosis Famagusta OVER 2.5 (+105)
Quick breakdown of these two games. First game, being played at Basel has little effect on either side, doesn't really matter who wins, as Sporting has already qualified for the elimination round, but expect to see a good effort out of Basel. Sporting has been talking all week about putting forth a team effort and treating it like any other game and not "backing into" the next games. The Portugese will be without a variety of players, including hot goalscorer Liedson who has scored in 8 of his past 11 contests. Although this is a big loss, Lisbon will also be without thier starting goalkeeper as he serves a suspension. All in all, I think Basel's effort and some "cheap" goals will push this total over the 2.5 mark. Also love the positive juice...always a fan favorite.
It all comes down to one game for the Greeks tomorrow as Parathinaikos and Anorthosis play one game with the winner advacing to the next stage. Of the last 10 combined games, 6 of those have gone over 3 goals and the 7th game reached 2 goals. Both of these teams like to score and push the pace and I expect a lot of scoring tomorrow, as Parathinaikos has given up an average of 2.0 GPG at home so far this campaign, along with a 3-1 defeat against the rivals earlier in the year. Revenge will be on the minds of Parathinaikos, and these can lead to motivated play.....or stupid mistakes which occured last time and cost them the game.
