Last year we had a regular poker game on Wednesdays with some interest and it was fun. It was sponsored by Bodog who threw in some money to the pot and it was a regular poker game a week. Any interest in continuing the poker league? If so, please vote yes. Thanks!

Would like to know more of the parameters, but I've never been one to shy away from a game of cards.

hey wise, what they did last year mainly (vytas and the bartender can tell you more about as they were weekly players) was to have one game a week with a prize pool of about $100+ of bodog money. As the weekly games grow, so will the prize money. But, it was just a weekly game, with the prize money donated every wednesday. I think they had a game once in 2 weeks if I am not mistaken.

It was actually a tremendous value. It was a $10 buy in with $100 added to the prize pool. So, if we had 10 players, we'd have $200 in the prize pool. To have that size prize pool while risking just $10 is as good as it gets.
But, again we could only muster about 10 people per week on average and some weeks we couldn't get more than half that. There just wasn't enough interest. And, we'd need to find a new sponsor too if we wanted $$ added to the prize pool.
need a bigger prize pool, i'm just saying there a better pay out on other poker sites, so for the amount of 10 buy in there a bigger prize pool out there to tempted me. Not saying it a bad idea, i'm just saying if u guy have a bigger prize pool then i'll play, and it is a good idea to have a poker league. It just the prize pool is too small to interest me.

If you can find a better game than where u can buy-in for $10(no-rebuys) with 10 or so people and have a $200 pot. Please tell me.
How much was the rake and how many got paid, top 3 ?
Id be interested depending on time and day as being UK based a bit of a time difference. Perhaps not every week but maybe once or twice a month.

You won't find one.
Count me in!
I was the best deal on the net for Poker. I stopped letting the bartender win, so he took his 'ball' and went home. I'd play again and even let the bartender win one every now and then. Top 3 got paid.

I would.
I'd still play, but if we are going to make this a league, i'd like to have a certain amount, whatever it may be set aside each week for the top 3 at the end of the poker season, or whatever. Or the top however many play a sng for whatever was set aside, or however. just an end of the season playoff or superbowl type deal.
I'd be interested in a poker league. I know Full Tilt is another good site to do private tournys. You can set one up with as few as 2 players and with any buyin you want. I've seen private tourny buyins there as low as $1. Min. rake is $0.50; 10% of buyin from $5 on up. They usually take just a few days to set up. If there is enough interest I can help set it up.
Full Tilt is by far the best poker site i have played on, and i have played on many. But Tudball, i think they are trying to set it up somewhere where we can get a donation from the poker site to our prize pool.
