We had a suggestion to increase the buy-in/payout of the weekly Bodog poker tournament. Please share your responses here. Please only vote for a dollar figure if you would actually play on a regular basis.

50 or over 50 just to make it more interesting

Over fifty should keep more of the poor players out to make it a great poker game

Please keep in mind we only had 10 players last week with the buy-in at $5. In my opinion, bigger buy-in = less players. My .02. If we make it $50, then one of you guys will have to loan me $50.

By the way. I consider myself a beginner (poor) player and I have a first, second and third place finish.

I would prefer the $5 tourneys, because as mentioned on another thread, bodog poker is fun, but has some of the most unbelievable river cards bailing people out, and it happens all the time. So, it becomes more of a game of luck than skill. Losing $5 knowing that is more palatable than losing $50 with that nonsense. I love poker, but am always leery playing online when you repeatedly see someone win on the river when they only have one out. Not bad if it happens now and then, but I see it repeatedly! That being said, I do like the weekly tourney, and have actually placed in it myself. Just my opinion.

I like to keep it friendly and use poker as an excuse to keep the girlfriend out of my hair for a night. I would still consider a $10 or $20 weekly buy-in friendly.

My suggestion might be to move the start time ahead an hour. How many west coasters play in this??

Or could we do 2 tourneys each week?? You'd almost have to start them at like 7:30pm EST and 9pm EST. Split the tourney chips in half and have 2 $5-10 games or something like that.

I vote for 10-25 range. This is really more fun than anything and 5$ is just not enough to keep me all that interested. If the pot comes out to where the winner wins 150$ or so It is a lot more appealing IMO.

You Are Gonna All Ways See Some Things Like The 1 Outers Get Ya At The Lower Limits Tournament Play..however You Can Go To The .05 Ring Game Nl Which Is Listed As 10 Buck Ring And Play Good Popker And Do Well There..certainly Your Gonna Take Some Badbeats Because Of The Limit That Your Playing At..but I Also Have Built My Bankroll Playing Against Those Players Putting There Whole Bankon Those Draws..good Money To Be Made At The Lower Limits With Good Poker Play..as I Like To Say No Offense Any Ladies Out There.... Poker Is Like A Woman They Both Run In Cycles..if You Play Good Poker Majority The Time Your Gonna Win ..can't Judge The Play To A Brick N Mortar Cause You See More Hands Then Live Play..with That Being Said... I Don't Care For The Adds That Bodog Offers At Sportsbook As Other Sites..they Come Out Later With Lines And Also Circle Alot Of Games And Not As Good Of Lines As Most.. They Also Don't Have The Money Line Games Open For Betting Like Other Books Just On Certain Games..the One Thing Some Players Do Like Is Is The Live Betting They Offer In The Sportsbook..just My Opinion And Alot Of Cappers Were Just Playing The Free Roll Poker Because It Was Free .. i like the small and friendly $5 buyin to get more players involved. maybe, offer a larger buyin monthly for the more hard-core folks to enjoy.

Well, it sounds like the majority of folks would prefer a $5 - $10 buyin. So, the question now is do we keep it at $5 or raise it to $10.

Hello, Im new here. Just found this site today. I would play every week with a $5 buy in. $10 is just a little rich for me. Im probably in the minority, but my opinion is the less the buy in the more value you get. I played in the tourney tonight. I gotta say Its alot harder then your average SNG. I enjoyed playing against real poker players for a change, but without the added value Id rather take my chances with the fish.

I actually preffer the low buyin as it is right now, with a higuer buyin, the overlay wont be interesting in my opinion.
