West is waiting on one guy, then its onto the next contest. Let's give it a day or two, then "C'est la vie!", we move on.
EL JEFFE --- “Turning and turning in the widening gyre, the falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, the blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere the ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity.”
To close thread i have been called a sucker, but been known to win a game here and there. I didnt write this, but another site i follow did. A take. GB was boulder last week, not this week.
The Green Bay Packers (9-3, 7-4-1 ATS) will host the Atlanta Falcons (5-7, 5-7 ATS) on Monday Night Football in Week 14. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 EST at Lambeau Field and will be televised on ESPN. Oddsmakers currently have the Packers listed as a 12-point home favorite with the total set at 55.5 points.
Both teams come into this contest off impressive home wins. Green Bay put an end to the Patriots 7-game winning streak with 26-21 win over New England. The Packers have now won 4 straight since their Week 9 bye and 8 of 9 overall. Atlanta on the other hand, cruised to a 29-18 victory against the Cardinals. The Falcons are 3-1 following their Week 9 bye and remain tied with the Saints at the top of the NFC South. The Packers held on for a 22-21 home win as a 3.5-point favorite last year, which was their third straight win in the series.
Early Lean on Falcons +12
With the way the Packers have been dominating of late and fresh off that huge win over the Patriots, I believe oddsmakers have inflated this line to where the value is clearly on Atlanta. Keep in mind that coming into this season, Green Bay was only listed as a 6.5-point favorite in this game. I clearly think some adjustment needed to be made, by doubling the spread is bit too much.
The thing you have to keep in mind with the Falcons is that despite their poor record, this team has a lot to play for. The other key here is that they come in arguably playing their best football of the season. Atlanta might not have what it takes to win at Lambeau, but are certainly capable of keeping this within 10-points.
You also have to take into consideration that this isn’t a great spot for the Packers, as they are due for a bit of letdown after laying everything they had on the line last week against the Patriots. Keep in mind that they followed up their highly anticipated opener against Seattle with a 31-24 win against the Jets. They also followed up their big showdown against the Eagles with a 24-21 win against the Vikings.
Home favorites of 10.5 or more points that have won 2 or more consecutive games, who have also won 60% to 75% of their games overall and are playing a team with a losing record are just 26-56 (32%) ATS since 1983.
The big key here is that Atlanta has the offensive fire-power to keep them in this game. The Falcons come in ranked 8th in the league in passing (269.0 ypg) and while they were limited to just 35 yards on the ground last week against the Cardinals, they had rushed for 268 yards in their previous two games against the Browns and Panthers. Even if Green Bay gets out to an early lead, Atlanta figures to remain within striking distance of this massive spread.
One of the big concerns with Atlanta in this matchup is they have the league’s worst pass defense, allowing 284.9 ypg through the air. However, Green Bay is just 12-26 ATS in their last 38 games in the 2nd half of the season versus team who are allowing 7 or more yards per pass attempt.
Adding to all of this is a great system in play suggesting a fade of the Packers. Home favorites of 10.5 or more points that have won 2 or more consecutive games, who have also won 60% to 75% of their games overall and are playing a team with a losing record are just 26-56 (32%) ATS since 1983.

I will let my Northeast muscle mods yourself and Wiseguy1 handle accordingly. Smoke signals from Westx are getting lost between the moon and a thread 60,000 strong lol.

On the other issue, for the amount of money vs the time wasted in such a venture, although would be nice to see V in action, let's just wish a Merry Christmas to that person and move onto the next contest.
