NBA Finals Contest Rules

Runs thru final game 30 per man Winner take all payable normal means pal

Most net points wins. If everyone in hole. Least loser wins

Lines will be posted prior to each game. Anyone can post. First to post we use

One Bomb available to apply to any pick. Doubles(to 10) value of pick plus or minus. Use is Optional

2 Picks per game:

Total Over or Under Worth 5 Points + if win - if lose
Spread winner Worth 5Points + if win -if lose


Tiebreaker: must be picked prior to game 1.. Player to score the most points in the series.
If still tied. Split equally

I think that is pretty straightforward, but feel free to ask questions.

Side notes for newbies or oldies:

Once a pick is made you are entered

Winner of current contest traditionally picks next contest.

Thanks for putting this together. You must have realized how lopsided these Conference Finals would be! You want me to post the Early Lines tonite after the books close? First game is next Thursday. It's almost as if the Cavaliers are playing without any real opposition tonite.

So, Tex, Knup please check your PM's. I sent a sample" itemized rules" post which using Tex's final rules and implied statements from his previous posts showing Object, Entry Requirements, Prizes, Rules for Play, Bonus/Bombs explanation, Tiebreaker Rule, "Unexpected conflict resolution procedures and prize distribution procedures"; for this contest. The last two bold faced clauses were my suggested disclosures which are consistent with our experiences which can be willingly deleted/or modified.
Since I've yet to hear back from you two above, I now will send again to you, Rich, Deuce, Wise, and Vytas for your approval/consent/ feedback, consideration or permission to post, as well. Hopefully all who plan to participate have learned how to subscribe to a thread and have done so, for this thread. That way you get an email whenever someone posts to this thread so you can keep up with the contest. And remember to make your picks in a timely fashion. Especially, me!
Just a suggestion. I know you guys are all adults, right? And new members, (welcome), you realize you have to subscribe to the "Lounge" in order to post. And you can't submit your picks unless you can post.

Knup. Yes you must make two picks for each game. You can use one bomb applied to any pick of your choosing. If you win its a plus ten, if you lose its a minus 10. Once you use it, it is no longer available. You can apply it to any pick or you can choose not to use it.

So lets same game two I really loves the over 221.
I would say Game over 221 with a bomb. Which then doubles the value of that pick to 10 instead of 5. If I lose its a -10. Win +10, but for the rest of the contest, I no longer have one at my disposal.
Some prefer to use it early, some prefer to keep it just in case. Up to you.

Make sense? Also, you don't have to use the smiley, Just say pick and Bomb applied.

To clarify a couple thing

Any pick not made is -5.

If the line is posted like Ivy posted it, we will use the "current" line as posted.

Everyone Keep their own scores. Feel free to point out if someone makes a calculation error.
